Not Guilty Verdict in Framingham District Court for Firearms Charges

Criminal Charges:

Truck driver charged in the Framingham District Court, Middlesex County, Massachusetts for:

Case Overview:

A truck driver and his co-worker parked their tractor trailer truck in the rear of a building where they had just made a delivery. While parked, three men in the process of making a delivery started banging on the driver’s side window of the truck because it was blocking them from making their delivery. The driver refused to move his truck because of the way the men were acting. The men continued to bang on the door and started yelling at the driver, at which time the men alleged that the driver brandished a firearm. The men called the police who were dispatched to the scene. The driver, who did not have a valid license to carry a firearm in Massachusetts, was ordered out of the truck and questioned about the location of the gun. The man’s co-worker then exited the passenger side door of the trailer and began to speak with police. When police asked the co-worker about a gun, he directed them to the passenger side door. Police approached the passenger side door and within seconds located a firearm covered by a towel. The driver was arrested and charged with three counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Firearm without a License (which carries a mandatory 18-month day-to-day jail sentence upon conviction), and Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License. The man retained Massachusetts Criminal Defense Lawyer, John L. Calcagni III, to defend him against these charges.

Case Result: Not Guilty Verdicts After Trial.

After trial, the man was found not guilty.
