Case Overview
An undercover drug investigation culminated with a search warrant being executed at a man’s residence in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Moments beforehand, police fortuitously identified the man’s drug supplier who was seen meeting with the dealer near his residence. After the two met inside the suspected supplier’s vehicle, police detained the dealer on foot and located approximately seven grams of suspected fentanyl on his person. Other officers then conducted a motor vehicle stop of the suspected supplier and conducted a search of his car, which yielded a much larger quantity of fentanyl hidden within the sunroof of the vehicle. They placed the man under arrest and charged him with Possession to Distribute a Class A Drug and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law. He retained Massachusetts Criminal Defense Lawyer, John L. Calcagni III, to represent him before the Attleboro District Court. Following pretrial negotiations, Attorney Calcagni and his team persuaded the prosecution to dismiss all charges.
