Case Overview:
Dartmouth Police were dispatched to a man’s residence over a dozen times for reports that he was acting erratically and disturbing his neighbors. On various dates from August 2020 to July 2021, neighbors reported the man, on multiple occasions, screaming and yelling profanities from his residence during late hours of the night. One of the neighbors had a restraining order against him related to a prior criminal case. Another neighbor caught the man on video and provided it to police. Dartmouth Police filed six (6) separate applications for criminal complaint against the man, each alleging Disturbing the Peace. The man received six (6) summonses to appear for six (6) separate Clerk Magistrate Hearings in New Bedford District Court.
